I am a member of an enthusiastic MTB group called TIMBER. For more info, please visit www.timbermtb.org
At the time of writing the Red route has been closed due to trail upgrade work to make 2km of the trail more durable for the winter (and summer) riding. The work will continue throughout March and we ask that people please refrain from riding the Red Route for 3-4weeks after the work is completed. This gives the new surface a chance to bed in. Riding it too soon could mean the life expectancy of the new surface is reduced from 10 years to 2 years! Those of you who have ridden the first bit of the Tightrope section will know what happens if the trail is ridden too
soon.
Many thanks.
