File corrupt?
The file has been downloaded 6.136 times.
I renamed the file ...
112207-_Giant_Squid_versus_Sperm_Whale_-_In_3D_[97891].kmz
to
112207-_Giant_Squid_versus_Sperm_Whale_-_In_3D_[97891].kmz.zip
unzipped the file, and opened it with notepad. There are only 36 lines
and I did not find any 3D data.
So, how sould the program GoogleEarth know how to
display the 3D whale?
Is this file corrupt?

This is nothing but a placemark, no 3D datas included. The placemark points on a 3d-model of a whale, therefore you have to turn on the 3d-bulidings-layer. Anyway, I don't see any whale when opening the placemark.

Do you think when turning on the 3d-bulidings-layer option a whale will be displayed?

So I understand the file-description
When you turn on your 3d buildings layer in Google Earth 5 and move to this placemark, you see a whale and a squid duking it out.

I had to zoom in before it showed up, but it's pretty cool. I had no idea stuff like this was on Google Earth.
