View Full Version : Strange Circular fields Washington, Idaho etc.

From a new member,
Does somebody, anybody know why there are lots of circular symmetrical fields in Wahington & Idaho? Places like PASCO (Washington) and MALTA (Idaho) are totally surrounded by them. Ther must be a logical reason and won't it be a disappointment to find out...They look positively alien!

There is nothing strange or alien about these circles. They are irrigation pivot fields.

Thanks so much for the speed and accuracy of reply, You'e provided a better answer in a day than a weeks worth of searching. Our children have now learned something that none of their classmates or teachers knew. I thought that the answer may be "normal" but in it's way it's almost as exciting as any.
