This is a discussion thread for the following file:<br><br><b><a href=http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile210/Folkestone-White-Horse.htm>Folkestone White Horse</a></b><br><br>The folkestone white horse is now finished, following the construction of the trenches last autumn, work was started in May to make final adjustments to the trenches ready for the chalk / limestone slabs. The slabs were installed in June by most of the Folkestone horse team and a large number of Gurkas, stationed in Folkestone. They worked incredibly hard and construction was completed (apart from the eye) in about two weeks. The slabs were transported down the hill on sleds. Just wanted to say cool... nice of su1 to highlight this for everyone lol.. i livne in folkestone and see this msot days.... not the ebst chark creation.. but not bad... :)

folkestone, kent? cool, thats definitely my favourite town in the uk. been there around 10 times now and 'll be there in 10 days. how can i best get to the horse? a bus till tesco at the cheriton interchange is quiete far to walk, isnt it. and how to get over the m20 :)
