I was looking at something at Mars, When I saw that the placemarker for "Google Sky Pole" was exactly at Mars' (north?) Pole. So there is perhaps a bug in Google Earth, causing the (north?) Pole of Mars visible with some white streaks, even if you turn Mars off in the view settings.
Sorry if I don't have the tech lingo 100% correct. But I'm kind of new to Google Earth...
