Could you update the 5 files below to only link to Google Earth. Please remove link to Google Maps, Virtual Earth, Yahoo Maps etc. as it seems rather irrelevant for those files to link to applications showing only one placemark when they all contain multiple placemarks.

Thanks

Hi, any progress of an update in sight in the near future?

Not that it's critical important, but maybe it might be helpful to upcoming users of the files, since they only will be given the relevant option(s) among many

Thanks, Tom

Tom, I'm pretty sure that the Yahoo Maps, Virtual Earth and Google Maps links are auto-generated and not able to be removed from individual files. Hopefully Mickey can pop over and chime in.

I seem to remember that there was an option to choose application(s) during the submit of a file. I have other files submitted where only GE is an option, like Gota Canal tour (http://www.gearthhacks.com/dlfile34301/Gota-Canal-tour.htm) and Mount Everest tour (http://www.gearthhacks.com/dlfile29450/Mount-Everest-tour.htm)

Hopefully Mickey can pop over and chime in.

Yes, I'm curious to know the tech reason :D

If the system can detect a lat/lon in the file, it automatically links to all other map sources at that lat/lon. As of now, there's not a way for you to clear that up -- I have to dig directly into the database to do it. I'll see if I can add that feature soon. Thanks!

PS -- Sorry for missing this post; not sure how I never saw it before.

This is complete now. When you edit a file now you'll see three new options:

1 -- "Use lat lon". Toggle this to "2" and it'll hide the alternate mapping options. This will also remove it from the GEH network links, as those use the same data.

2/3 -- Lat/Lon. If you simply want to tweak the location of it, you can edit these numbers.

I've taken care of the ones at the top of this list, but now you can do others as they come up!
