View Full Version : Turning Terrain off and turning roads visibility on

I am trying to make a global map to see where my the landmarks I have made are relative to a central location. I would like to be able to see major roads between those marks but the terrain obscures them or they are not yet visible. If you go into Google maps there are no marks at all. There needs to be a way to turn off the terrain layer so you can see the roads underneath.

On another note, I have not found a decent way to print maps from Google earth other than doing a ctrl-printscreen and then pasting in Photoshop and crop and print from there.

Perry - Welcome to GEH!

I've never seen the terrain hide roads, but you can turn the terrain layer on and off.

If you want to print maps, there's always the File-->Print option. Or you cans ave the image as a jpeg file using File-->Save-->Save Image and you can take it from there into Photoshop. It's an identical pixel count as the screenshot, but there's no need to crop out the sidebar and other extra stuff.
