Google Italy posted a KML file last year (attached) linking to a satellite image from immediately after the L'Aquila earthquake on April 6 (2009). It displays fine in GE but I'd like to download the image it links to. Seems to just be a maze of KMZs and small PNGs that don't have an obvious structure (e.g. png (http://mw1.google.com/mw-earth-vectordb/disaster/italy09/Italy_Quake_256/po32807/imagery/02110/0002_11.png) and kmz (http://mw1.google.com/mw-earth-vectordb/disaster/italy09/Italy_Quake_256/po32807/kml/021100002.kmz)). Is it possible to find the original image or put these puzzle pieces together? Is there a method to this madness?

You would need to get the original source image.
