Very nice and usefull.

But since i live in Lower Saxony, it would be great if somebody could make an overlay for that region as well. :)

Why dont you make one yourself!! its easy :D

simply find the image you want to use by searching Google (http://www.google.com) for "Saxony Radar" or "Germany Radar" then simply open GE, go to the add menu, put in the URL to the image and line it up!

I'll try my luck & see what I can do for you ;)

I'm having a hard time finding the images for lower saxony.. the person who posted the bavaria radar got their images from http://www.wetterspiegel.de/ so maybe you will have more luck there!

If that doesnt work i recommend you contact rudolf.weber (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/forums/member.php?u=11647) (the member who uploaded the Bavaria radar)
