I was looking through historical (timeslider) imagery in Newport News, Virginia when I stumbled upon this. It looks very much like a cruise ship/liner, especially since it has lifeboats along the sides. The imagery date is April 7, 1990. The ship is about 996 feet long.
I was thinking the RMS Queen Elizabeth II (kinda looks like her), but that's 963 feet long.
It's neither of the RMS Queen Marys, not the RMS Queen Elizabeth, and wikipedia only shows longest cruise ships over 1004 feet. There is a list of all cruise ships, but it's too much info.

Anybody know what ship this is?

Looks like the SS France, later SS Norway. Fits with the number of life saving boats.

Hmm, SS France was 1035 feet long and this looks less than 1000. Discrepancy with the(age of the) image that causes the size gap?

And you can't rely 100% in the ruler of GE it's allways apoproximately values it shows in all images.
