Hi,

is it just me or does the search functionality in google earth suck.
I am trying to find a given street within the city of Hannover Germany.
Is this possible at all?
I guess the bigger question is how does the search function in google earth work at all?
Can someone help me?

Cheers

You can fly to Hannover and select the 'Roads' layer. Then you can try local search but I'm not sure if that's gonna work. But you can search for the street manually by using the 'Roads'.

Unfortunately, address searches only seem to work within the US for now :whoa: , outside ot the US try searching city, country (ie; "Amsterdam, Netherlands") if you want to get street address positions, do what I do.. go to www.multimap.com // www.maporama.com, screenshot the map & make an overlay :)

Hopefully soon enough we will be able to use all the features of google earth all over the world :spin:

Enjoy!

At least that gives me the satisfaction that I know I am not just too dumb to use the search. :spin:

If the streets are ever installed for Germany, correctly spelling Hanover would help.

If he means the capitol of Niedersachsen, Hannover is spelled pretty well...
