I think it can only be the:

The Alpine Botanical Conservatory

Its mission is to study, manage and develop the plant heritage of the alpine mountain. It is responsible in particular for establishing an inventory of the wild flora in its natural surroundings in order to protect and reproduce the threatened species so that they can be passed on to future generations. Equally, its mission is to inform and make the public aware and respectful of the wild heritage.

The Alpine Botanical Conservatory possesses a vast collection of ancient cultivated plants. In fact, Charance's setting, thanks to the altitude, climate and absence of pollution, has naturally protected these plants against disease, in particular from bacterial fire. Accordingly, all of the INRA's collections, notably 800 varieties of pear trees, 500 varieties of apple trees, 150 varieties of hawthorns and 1,500 varieties of ancient roses from before 1914 have been kept safe.

The attachment is the golf course which you can see in the park. On the picture you see these lines as bushes or trees.

We've got too much time on our hands. I've spent the last hour combing various french websites looking for what this may be. I saw the reference you cited, but did not see the golf course.

Beat me to it again, McMaster! Prost!
