View Full Version : Vercingetorix statue Near Alesia, France

I learned about Vercingetorix a long time ago in my French class in high school, and since then, I've been wanting to go see it.

I haven't had a chance to go to France yet, so I'll settle for finding it on GE. ;) The only problem is, not surprisingly, the French countryside isn't shown at the highest resolution ever. I think I've found the Hill of Alesia, where the famous battle took place, but I'm having trouble placing the statue.

If anyone's been there, or knows about it, or is even just good at picking things out of low-res images, let me know. :)

Here's a picture of the statue, for reference:

Merci beaucoup! J'avais recherché pendant longtemps cette statue.

Um...at least I think that's how it goes; my French is rusty. :)
