Probably not... Its as big as a house, or much higher than ground level. Its definately above ground level, metallic looking, and dare I say it, cigar shaped! I don't know what the shutter speed is, but it doesn't appear to be moving particularly fast.

I've no idea what it is - but I'd love to know! There's a runway about a kilometer to the west, so if it were an unidentified flying object, you'd think it would show up on the radar, and be of great interest.

It sould be one of those elongated reflections sometimes seen on satellite photos.

You could be right - it is pointing exactly due south.

Are there any examples of these reflections we can compare this too?

you can compare with the file : plane or weapon. This "cigare" is not really different ....

Hi, if you search through for Sydney, you'll find one kml with a whole bunch of them. It looks like the sun is in the right place to flash the satellite:angel:

I'm sure it's the Sun's light reflection.
