That image sure looks nice but those golds are sands in fact and I assume that sapphire is the remains of saltwater(salt-water-algish things)

Interesting, "still largely unexplored", but found some activities.

There are also airfields in this area and on the northern edge is human activity.

Yeah... looks a LOT like sand, especially the further east you pan over.
