View Full Version : Intel reports

When several players' armies are around a city and one of the players attacks, maybe their proximity should entitle the others to some kind of intel. Currently, only the attacking and defending parties learn about each others strengths.

Not sure how it'd work out, but there's something about being in the same place where it's all going on that just begs knowing more than everyone else all over the planet.

I agree; they shold at least know the strength of the armies involveedin the battle .... we never know the strength of the next army in line, so your not seeing everything, anyway. It would save this intel having to be messaged to the "partners".

There's a potentially bizarre effect on the game from this though, I fear. I envision that, lacking genuine spying capability, more players would station troops around cities of interest just so they have ears there. This would BE, in fact, de facto spying -- but not very secret. Kind of like Russian "fishing boats" back in the day. ;-)
