Any clue what these are? I was looking at the Edgar Thomson Steel Works (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile602/Edgar-Thomson-Steel-Works,-Braddock,-PA.htm) placemark when I tilted down to try to get a better angle. Way off in the distance I saw a lone mountain (from that far away it looked more triangular) and went to check it out. Strange.

I'm sure it's just an error...missing or corrupted topo data.
I wonder how many more of these exist on GE.

I would tend to agree. I haven't seen any others yet, but it would seem likely that there would be more.

i found these ages ago, it must be a glitch cos there is a lake on one

I found several more of these spires just north of Lake Norman, in North Carolina about a year ago. My brother said they may be large electrical towers that he thinks he'd seen there. I just joined this website, so I was interested in seeing what others had seen north of Pittsburgh. Pretty weird stuff.
