There is another Iwo Jima class LPH in Philadelphia: LPH-12 USS Inchon

Some more I found. Also note that the second Invincible class carrier is not Illustrious but Invincible herself ( 'N' painted on her flight deck).

Thx for all new flattops. I have corrected my file. The Tarawa-Class is LHA-4 "USS Nassau".

Didn't you notice another Flattop near INS Viraat with a helicopter and two planes on deck?

That's the same with the USS Nassau in the drydock. I overlooked it. This can happen, I'm only a human.

I wouldn't criticize you - and I'll hope you're human ;)

It's good that we all have failures.

This is the newest Wasp class LHD: LHD-8 USS Makin Island still under construction. It's hard to recognize, so here is a picture for comparison:

Thanks to nagoyan's post of the submarines in Kure I found one of Japan's amphibious assault ships, the Shimokita.

I found a ship in drydock that look like a Invincible class carrier but it is partly in a low resolution area. It looks like being in an more extensive overhaul.

I think, this can not be a carrier, because all lies in harbour and one is in the arabian gulf.

Yes, there is usually one in the Arabian Gulf, but the images are most likely from different times. The Portsmouth high-res images are only on GE since the last big update, whereas the Edingburgh pictures are older. The shape of this ship looks exactly like the Invincible class, arrangament + length of the island, the cut-out for the portside stern CIWS, the width and the distance between the rear edge of the island and the stern (compared to HMS Invincible).
Is there any way to find out when the images on GE were taken? I will try to find information when and where the UK carriers were in overhaul.

This is hard to say. Look at the DG Coverage by the Layers. Perhaps you can find it out, when this picture was taken.

OK, found some info: "Illustrious completed refit at Babcock's Rosyth yard in November 2004."
From this site: http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/invincible/
Compare this picture with the GE image, it's the same drydock: http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/invincible/invincible13.html
