View Full Version : are vertical overlays possible??

Looking to make a graph set vertically(radially?) and based at sea-level.
I'd like to be able to drag and rotate it as well.
I want to illustrate different elevations.
this could also be used for other things like art projects.(UFO's over your town, placed behind the mountains or an image of you peeking over a mountain range???)

any one know if this is possible?

Hey echodawg :)

Yeah, I've thought about this feature many times too.. at the moment the only way to do that would be to either make a 3D model, or draw a vertical square polygon (using the polygon tool) and impose the image as the surface of that face of the 2D vertical polygon.. (sort of like a billboard, hehe) Unfortunately both those sollutions require plus or pro..

Maybe you should recommend/suggest this feature over at the Official GE forums (http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/ubbthreads.php/Cat/0) :)

Good luck!
