Do defender armies have advantage?

The city of Bogota, Colombia was attacked by Unforseen. No defending armies (1,130 troops) were killed in the battle. 6,600 attacking troops were killed. Radeon retained control of the city.

I only killed 1000 troops with 6000. Is this really luck? I was expecting if I lose to kill at least 3000 out of the 4800 it had. It doesn't make sense to me.

I have seen cites that had 80,000 troops in them and the attacking army only had 40,000 and won..... Man i was pretty lucky there huh!!!

It happens often to me. :crysmilie
I attacked Paris with ~10k and killed only 4k.
And today I (city: London) was attacked and lost my whole defense, 20k against ~7k troops...

I would favour a change in the fight-system...

The attacker has a huge advantage, I've noticed. As much as 60% less losses, especially with the smaller armies.

I think a little off is fun...but I've noticed that this system frustrates people.
Mickey, can't you change it that the maximum difference would be 1000-2000 troops?
It would stop people from getting irritated by the game.
They spend a lot of time jewel hunting and to see 20k getting lost to 7k would for some people be a reason to stop playing.
They smile when they win with the 7k, but the bad emotion it brings up is worse when they lose with the 20k.
So it might not be as realistic, but fair chances do work better for the players. Let the advantage of 20k - 7k come in the game when we have a system that allows troops to be promoted.

Incorrect actually, it's completely on random. When I kept on attacking Riyadh, the defender was in favour almost every time. Just by luck.

Yea.. I dont mind losing a "few extra troops" or gaining a "few troops" but i dont like to see people losing 10,000 more troops than they should.. Unless im the one attacking them!
