Delay the attacker outside the city

I was defending outside an ally, where the attack was imminent in 2 minutes, the next thing is one less army arriving, and the attack has been completed.

This negates allies being outside, if the attack is made at light speed; can a two minute delay occur, between arrival and attack being allowed, just in case there is some "automation" involved in the attacking profile?

or at least make attacking the enemy's army easier for the defender, because he has to select an army first and then attack, which costs time (and troops)

Let the attacking army have the advantage...he came their anyway...doesn't matter if you attack or not...the bad thing is that other actions don't show up on the latest activity page which is a waste.
I'd love to see those too.
