The markingpoint for the place, where the STAR-CLUB at GROßE FREIHEIT should have been, is wrong. The Club existed until 31.12.1969 about 200meters across the road. The building burned down in 1978 and was never rebuild. At that place are now several Thai-Sex-Clubs and Red-Light-Bars. Only a plague remembers visitors, that here was the legendary STAR-CLUB.
The point wich is marked in the overlay shows the music-club named GROßE-FREIHEIT-36. It opened its doors in the late seveties and tries since than successless to follow the tradition of the STAR-CLUB. Only the basement is a place named KAISERKELLER, where the BEATLES really had a view gigs in the early sixties. :happynope :givebeer:
