hello,

I'm new here. wanted to say at first that this is a great forum!!!
Found some very cool kmz-files!
I really wonder how you people can find all these things...
But its only my second day that I started using Google Earth, so maybe I will find some cool stuff too.
I had just found something weird.
Maybe its an error in the picture or something, but i was just wondering what it could be.
Hope that someone can tell me what it is...

Thanks and keep going searching the globe!!!

Hey sosrobin!

Welcome to GEH :D Glad you are enjoying it here, we thrive to be the best GE site out there :) :spin:

What you have found is just a light reflection unfortunately - at first I thought they might be asteroids burning up in the earth surface - but they are just too small, heh - and they are ALL over the planet (search the file archives, there are heaps in map quirks)

Anyway, enjoy the site and feel free to sumbit a few things into the file archive :)

Catch you around!

T.

hey araT,

thank you. I'll do my best to find some cool stuff for this forum.
(didn't get much of sleep the last 2 days, hehe).
You asked me to add some files into the file archive, but do i have to put it there myself, or is only in the forum enough? (does that goes automatic?)

Hey sosrobin! :)

We have chosen to keep the forum attachments and the file archive seperate, the forums are more for discussion places and so on, things you arent sure about... The file archive is a submission database for things you are certain about - every file you submit will be checked, have a thumbnail added and be approved or denied by one of us mods :D (think of it as quality control, hehe)

You can submit files to the file archive by clicking "Add A File" in the menu on the left of the homepage, or by clicking here (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/addfile.php) :D

Enjoy! I'm looking forward to approving the cool things you've found!

T.
