for Chris2007Tadley
Seems calling someone names is not going to endear you to other members.
Try My Space with the other juveniles.
I'm suprised one of the Super Moderators didn't edit you post.

Even Mods have a private life and can't watch the board 24/7 ;)

I know, just figured there's a bunch of you around the world, so someone has gotta be awake.

As the Captain said. We also have a family life and also our work. We do this in our sparetime.
Sometimes we Mods are online every day but our families need us too so sometimes we can also be away for days. And then we have summer vacations.
But when we go online we check the posts in the forum.
So we are very much awake. ;)

According my english-danish dictionary it's called spare time what you do after work. :yep:
What it's called in the US I don't know. Maybe Siesta. :D

its not landing, its taxing, becayse its kind of at an angle not parralel with the run way, and also f it was landing 1) it would go staright into the planes staright ahead of it and 2) theres a plane taxing on the runway and it would crash into that.

Afraid not.
That Concorde is on permanent display beside the old Runway 23. It doesn't move. Those aren't sandbags around it, they're concrete blocks with red lights on top of them to prevent some of the nutters driving around that place from hitting it.
IIRC, another one will be put at the new Terminal 5 when it is completed but we'll have to wait until such time as everything is updated to see if they are actually doing that or not.

I believe the one you see beside runway 23 will end up at terminal 5 as it's the only one left at Heathrow. I could be wrong, but I don't see them flying another one in.

Hi this is a static 'show' concorde. If you ever fly on a small aircraft from Heathrow you will probably use runway 23L, if you do look either left or right and you'll see her on the ground static.
