Anyone want to do some golfing in the middle of an airport?

I've played at this course, it's in Solihull in the UK, right next to Birmingham International Airport.
Can be quite scary when you're about to tee off at the same time a plane goes down the runway

If you get tired of airplanes, but don't mind cars; try the BrickYard Crossing at the Indianapolis 500 track!
It appears on my list of 100 top public golf courses in United States

Makes me wonder what would happen if a golf ball was hit onto the runway, those things bounce pretty good on asphault.

No, he included a kmz file to another golf course inside an airport.

I see, the way it was worded, well, my mistake. I was wondering if there was something I was missing, i guess there was.

And now, the question everyone's been dying to ask:
Why on earth would anyone put a golf course in the middle of an airport??! I can see from the golfers' point of view that it provides more challege, but... won't that be dangerous if a golf ball somehow hits an airplane? Why would any airport want that risk?

It also looks like you have to cross over a taxiway to get from one part of the course to the other. :spin: :spin:

This is the Kantarat Golf Course.
The first thing you see when fly into Bangkok is a golf course. Also known as Don Muang or Old Royal Thai Air Force, it stretches all the way between the two main runways of Don Muang International Airport. It is a surprisingly long, varied and tough 18-hole par 72 course. Playing this course is quite an experience; the frequent blasts of sound from landing jumbos should cure your putting twitch for all time. The clubhouse has just been rebuilt and is surprisingly peaceful with exceptionally cheap drinks and snacks. Great value.
Booking: open to all, but reservations are necessary at weekends.

Before entering the course, your golf bag will be checked for surface-to-air missiles (seriously), so don't be afraid they're after you're 50 fake watches or 10 pounds of cheap jewelry you stashed in there thinking you'll make a quick buck off your mates back home.

Everything in Thailand is cheap, where ever you go you can live like a king for little money and the people are very friendly. I never noticed that course, I landed at night but I will try it next time I go there.
