View Full Version : Crazy Swiss and their curved runways!

I'm not sure if this has already been posted, and I'm not going to search loads of threads for it. Here's a runway in Switzerland that's not straight! it's curved. Don't believe me? use the measure tool.

Think that this is an image failure. The runway is straight, but the 01 is at 4068ft and the 19 is at 3757ft high.

Likely, yes. I don't see any nearby terrain that would require the runway to be curved, and no one would make it curved unless they had a **** good reason.

And appropiatly so. There are many different people playing with different backgrounds. There has to be some kind of moderation for this. Even though I am ot one of them.

The runway is straight, but due to some cameratrickery, appears bent. The center of the runway is higher in elevation than the two ends. If you pan downwards, and look from the east, it's perfectly straight.....

Also FYI The swiss are paranoid about another war and alot of their motorways are designed to act at runways if needs be. they remove the lights and central devide obviously.......

The 01 is at 900ft and the 19 is at 915ft high. Where did u get 4,608ft and 3,757ft?
