I was just having a look at Harbin in northern China after the terrible polution disaster. I was just scanning around looking at the countryside and marveling at the size of Asian rivers... as I always do... when I noticed how the fields and villages are layed out.

It was one of those 'look at how different that is to where I live' moments... one of the reasons I love GE. A small insight into a culture and a way of life froma sattelite image... who would have thought it!

Have a look for yourselves... open the file and slowly pan out... look at the small villages dotted fairly randomly but quite equidistant amoungst the fields... amazing!

On the subject... would anyone else like to post places they have happened across that gave them the same 'wide world' feeling...

Regards

A.

that is wild, A high res of that would make a nice poster. back out a bit and it's amazing. Look to the north by northwest a little and the lakes there are like a painting.
