At 979 meters high, it is 15 times higher than Niagara.<br />
Angel Falls is located in the Guayana highlands, Venezuela.<br />
The falls are named after Jimmy Angel, a bush pilot who first saw the falls in 1933 while searching for a gold ore bed.<br />

i did some research and if you turn on the GE community layer, the angel falls or salto angel has to be somewhere around here:

Maxx, you are right. The placemark of the bot lies 40 miles south of the Auyan-Tepui, the mountain where the waterfall is located. Something interesting: The ecosystem on top of the mountain is completely different to the jungle ecosystem down below.
