I can assure you, they are not kids toys. These were the UK's finest aircraft in the 1960's & possibly the early 70's.
They may, however be "big-boys toys" now ;)

thats not the coolest bird on that field west past the canbera then past the twin tail jet thing (dehaviland)? there sits a fighter/viper from battle star galactica! Now that makes the Vulcan look dull :spin: :spin:

There is a Victor at Duxford, XH648, which I flew in 1973 at RAF Marham.
It was originally a B1A but by that time had been convertred to a K2P ( a two point tanker).
More details at http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/victor/survivorspics1.html

There are, and when the RAF Museum at RAF Cosford gets put into hi-res then we'll see more. Also, RAF Marham has one and so does RAF Bruntingthorpe, but again they are not in hi-res. A private individual from Elvington in Yorkshire also has a Victor but not in hi-res either.
Oh, and the last surviving Valiant is also at RAF Cosford as well so when that gets lit up you'll have some fun

It never made it to the pub, it apparently would have cost more money to transport it than it cost to buy.
Anyway, XL391 has now been scrapped, for about £4K.
I hope the photo has uploaded OK

There is one by the Nissan car plant in Sunderland - has that been uploaded? (I think it might have been vandalised a few years back too??)

A previous post said the one at Sunderland was not at an airport.
http://www.neam.co.uk/history.html gives the answer.
I saw a flight of Vulcans over my school in N.London in about 1967. Absoutely bloody petrifying!
