I was looking around the shoreline of Lake Tanganyika in Africa (the site of a major earthquake today) looking for population centers. It's mostly low resolution satellite images, but then I came across this. It's about a 200 foot wide high resolution image. You can even see people.

What's up with this?

That's a frame from the Africa megaflyover, there are tons of low-altitude frames in Africa from it. To turn on the placemarks for it, go to layers, national geographic magazine, then check the box for Africa Megaflyover.

yes, you find these pictures in africa and they include a lot of information, if you have a few minutes, just read them, it's interesting. ;)

in the small picture at:
pointer location 6*28'17.00" S 30*00'55.32" E

There is a guy that is looking up. Makes me think that it is a very low fly over.

This is a bit confusing for me, what I mean is that i've been trying to find out how to get this very high resolution overlays. I'm in Australia and most of my working area (shooting) is very low resolution, very much the same as the images around the frame in question. How and where can you get this type of high resolution overlays to cover the areas I work on?
Can anyone help? that would be very appreciated.
Thanks

It isn't very, very high res.
It's just very, very small.
A shot from a little plane ; )

Yes, you can even shoot your own feet and create a very very small overlay to show us the place were you stand ;)
