Is this formation a crater or just a ring shaped mountain? Found in the south of Indian Sub continent, where there are no known Volcanoes or Meteoric craters.
It's called Mt. Connor :)
"Mount Connor (Atila) is a 700 million year old sand and rock table top mountain, or mesa which is located directly west of Uluru."

It could be a buried meteor crater, a very eroded volcanic crater or just a ring-shaped mountain. Getting proof of it being a meteor crater can take years of work. One in upstate NY just recently got listed as a meteor crater after decades of doubt. See attached. The crater itself is actually several hundred feet below the surface, and it's center has collapsed a bit, cracking the upper layers of rock around the rim, thus allowing them to be eroded more quickly. Tilt down for a low angle and rotate, looks cool.
