Apologies if this has been asked before, but I've had a look around and don't think it has.
Does anyone know why some people can see some areas in high detail, but others see the same area in low detail?
Specifically, I can see Harrow (London) in detail but my friend cannot, and conversely, my brother can see Roath (in Cardiff) in detail, but I cannot. We all have the same version of GE.
Its a mystery.
Toby.

Are you sure you both have the latest December 2 data -- this increased the resolution greatly in certain areas and I see what I regard as high definition in Harrow and Roath (lovely view of the stadium roof <g>
If some of the resolutions are higher than that, have you downloaded any overlays from here and saved them on your drive?
Compare Echelon, Menwith Hill (North of Harrogate at 54° 0'28.28"N 1°41'22.36"W) as on the standard Google with the overlay file here in the Download section -- the detail in the latter is amazing compared with the normal Google for that area.

Thanks bueth, I didn't know about the cache thing and that seems to have solved the problem.
Cheers.

In Windows MSIE [CTRL + F5] is said to force a new download from the server. Worth trying since it is quicker than finding the Delete Temp Internet Files on MSIE.
