3d models temporary?

hi. ive just discovered about downloading 3d models on here.
but the side menu defines them as a TEMPORARY place.
you do get to keep them dont you?

just drag and drop them to "My Places" or just close GE. it will ask you if you want to save the links in the temporary folder in your "My Places" folder.
