Desert signs

Hey i found some strange signs in egypt, at 2 different locations..

I found em' on "maps.google.com" before i knew about GE..
I have tried to find em' on GE, but without any luck..

What could this be..? :confused:

Here's one of them, the other is probably somewhere nearby. They could be practically anything, old foundations, animal pens, etc. It's right outside a town, and there are plenty of other wierd structures around the desert there.

I'm more inclined to think it is something to do with the Egyptian military, mainly because there is an army base around 3km to the east (the tanks are a giveaway!!) as well as more tanks in the "towns" either side of the structures themselves. To the north west is an airstrip, possibly military but not in hi-res so you can't really tell.

I would say that they could be some form of identification for the bases themselves, for example if a pilot loses communication but can see those things so he knows where he is, or possibly the ID marks left from old target practice ranges.

I found the tanks after I posted that link, figure the whole place is military, and the figures in the ground could be anything. After looking at bases around the world, you see some strange things going on around them, wonder what they are up to? lol

In the last .kmz ( "guess" ) i believe that the tanks in the center of the image are mobile artillery, because they seem to have a very long barrel.
