 I believe this is an operational error by atc. Before you start saying that it’s not uncommon to see two planes on a runway, I know that. But, at ANC they generally land runway 6 (left or right) and takeoff runway 32. If you look at the plane on the left, the front wheels have not touched the ground and the plane on the right has not left the runway. Runway 32 is being used for takeoffs.

Not terribly uncommon to see two airplanes on the same runway when using GEarth. You are actually seeing the same airplane twice, the satellite caught the plane in two separate photos a few seconds apart.

Look at this file (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile113/Transient-Planes-In-Dallas---DFW.htm) , you will see an airplane that just took off from DFW. Then go north 1,182 meters - same plane. Go north again, you will see the same plane again. The fun part is the shadows, there are two more instances of the plane's shadow, but you can't see the plane.

I do believe that these are two pictures meshed together, these two planes are different in length, and have different engine types.

Victor Basta: Request vector, over.
Captain Oveur: What?
Tower voice: Flight 2-0-9'er cleared for vector 324.
Roger Murdock: We have clearance, Clarence.
Captain Oveur: Roger, Roger. What's our vector, Victor?
Tower voice: Tower's radio clearance, over!
Captain Oveur: That's Clarence Oveur. Over.
Tower voice: Over.
