I have found a way of making GE into a very basic flight simulator!
All you need to do to start flying is to:

1.Go to tools>options>navigation, and where it says navigation mode select
G-Force,

2.You should now have a mouse symbol that looks like an airplane,

3.Now try holding down the left mouse button and moving the mouse, the camera should move in all directions(up,down, left, right),

4.Now hold down on the right mouse button and very gently move the mouse forwards the camera should start moving,

5.Hold the left mouse button down and move the mouse, you should be able to control what direction the camera moves in,

That's it with that you can then increase speed by holding down the right button and move the mouse forward, to decrease speed move the mouse backwards.

Tell me what your flight experiance was like. ;)

and even in normal mode you can rotate and tilt the camera by holding the mouse wheel. try it ;)

it's quite (i don't know the word), but if you move the mouse only a little bit, the simulator turns around and does strange things :slant: ...
the data takes so long to load, so you have to fly slow and that's difficult to control...
i say it's cool, but not great ;)

Well when you move the mouse while holding down the left button you only need to move it about 2cm. and I don't experiance problems when moving.
Oh and the word your looking for is different.
I personnly think it's a great alternitve to something like Microsoft Flight Simulator or one of those.

Does anybody know of a way to create a program that you could either use a joystick to fly the camera or a way of blocking portions of the screen with images of cockpits from real airplanes?
That would make for a more realistic flight sim.

Hum,
you could just print off a photo and stick it to the front of the monitor...(with cutouts for the windows of course...)

Thats awsome, kindof an easter egg, people found every plane in the world but this is the first time I've seen this.
