Web Based Google Earth?

I was wondering if anyone had heard of or created a version of google earth that you could put in a web page. I was hoping to be able to post a form to google earth running in users' browsers.... Is this even possible with servlets, applets, etc, or is google maps pretty much what I have to work with?

Isn't Google Maps the exact same thing, if not better? You can create links to specific spots, same satalite and its just as fast if not faster. There may be a sourceforge of what your asking for but I doubt it.
