Resizing GE icons

I have a large amount of placemarks, that need to be viewed from a view of the entire nation (USA). I have succeeded in utilizing the great feature of custom icons.

However, I have not found any way to make a custom icon that is less than 32x32. Is this possible? It would be very useful to have that possibility.

Right click the placemark and check the box "Advanced" below the description. In the Style tab you can edit the icon scale.
