How do you move up the levels of membership?

I know that some part of it has to do with the number of posts. At a certain point, you're asked if you want to be called something else, and you can type in whatever you want(this privelage is given if you are polite, if you type and spell well, and other stuff like that). ;)

Even I don't know the exact numbers of posting when you will be whatever. Actually it has no effect if you are a junior or senior or whatever.
Mickey chose some people for doing the work that has to be done here, e.g. approving files and taking care of the discussions of the forum and its members...

How do you move up the levels of memebership? Here's the system:
When you register, your title is junior member.
When you make your 30th post, your title becomes member.
When you make your 100th post, your title becomes senior member, and there are no user levels above that.

Moderators have special powers. You will see custom titles like "Licensed to Ban" (araT) and "Master of the Universe" (Beezer) as titles.

Moderators all start with the title "Super Moderator" - but at the bottom of our pages is a hyperlink called "Mod". Clicking this takes us to an area where we can edit information about any member, including titles. (We can also see your email address, change your post count, change your avatar, change just about anything about you - including banning users)

So - anytime you see a title that isn't Junior Member, Member, or Senior Member, that person is a moderator and that person has chosen to change their own title. We could change yours, but we won't :)

What do mods do? Our primary purpose is to approve or deny files for the file library. As of right this moment, Captain Hornblower has approved the most files, with araT right behind him. Mods also have the ability to edit any post, so we keep an eye on the postings and delete or edit when needed. Just for grins, I am going to change your post by correcting your spelling of the word "membership" (you spelled it 'memebership')

Moderators also have a forum where we can discuss things. We talk about the members, the boards, make suggestions, and more. Mods also beta test new features for GEH. We were playing GEWar weeks before it was released.

Becoming a moderator is by invitation only and Mickey is the final judge and jury.
