Resetting the Datum on GE.

When I fire up GE, It always defaults to the centre of N.America. How can you change this to, say, default to Europe ?

This is quite easy:
In "My Places" is a placemark named "default". You can edit this placemark to your liking. The easiest way to do this is to rotate/zoom the globe to your prefered view and then rightclick the default placemark (from within "My Places") and select "Snapshot View". Alternatively you can edit it by rightclicking the placemark, select "Edit" and check the "Advanced" box. Now you can manually edit it's location and the corresponding view. Please note that the default view is NOT determined by it's location but by the view.

Unfortunatly i have deleted the default file but on trying to call a file 'default' it does not work any ideas???????
Or am i just doing it wrong.

It works like Stadsman explains: Create a placemark "default" and point it where you like.
Make sure it's under "My Places" main tab.
