Ive found sth. in harbour that looks weird. Does anybody know what it could be?

They are logs (cut-down trees)

Interesting find. Too big to be logs (some are over 250m long) and they are all over that area. These things appear to be underwater as you can see boats going 'over' them in some nearby areas. Maybe some groundoverlay to keep the waterways clear.

Hi Ulmen,
stadsman is right, these are definitely logs. They will be processed in the pulp mill east of the logs, and then further used as pulp in the paper mill a bit north from the pulp mill. it is the Kimberley Clarks Everett Paper Mill.

Could also be some kind of aqua-culture stuff. Oyster/pearl farming? Shrimp/prawn?

Thats and easy one - 77% of Japans Oyster production comes from the Hiroshima prefecture. The oysters are hung from bamboo rafts (approx 20m x 7m) and at last count there were over 10,000 rafts in the harbor resulting in tons of meat, and thousands of cultured pearls every year.
