It certainly looks like a plane, either diving or climbing. If I had to guess, I'd say climbing.

Any idea what the red and green object is about 180 yards to the SW?

Eiether a bouy or creature fom the black lagoon :)

By the way, plane may also be in level flight. Could be optical illusion based on the location of the plane that took the photo relative to the plane photographed.

OK, so it's a plane, but the bouy is definetly a mid-channel marker that marks where the channel splits into two channels in different directions.
