This is a discussion thread for the following file:

Weird Red Plane

There's a weird red projection coming off the front of this plane landing at Sydney Airport. If you look at other planes around the airport they are also colored red, but on this plane the red doesn't look correct.

Seems like someone is utilizing the latest in warp technology... ;)
Possibly a color overlay glitch.

The reason for the colors shifting off of the aircraft is because it is in the process of taking off or landing. I'd guess 'taking off', myself. Anything in motion will have a 'ghost' if the image is from a satellite due to the way it handles the image. One shot has the 'value' or brightness/contract of the image. The other has the color. The faster the object is moving, the more pronounced the ghost is.

I'm including a file of another example from a different airline. This is an aircraft in flight over southern Scotland.
Here's a sample paint scheme image for reference. (http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1092756&size=L&width=1024&height=728&sok=JURER%20%20%28nveyvar%20%3D%20%27OZV%20Oevgvfu %20Zvqynaq%27%29%20%20beqre%20ol%20cubgb_vq%20QRFP&photo_nr=33)
