Round shaped farms?

I was just browsing some of the hi-res images of Latin America and i noticed this in the northeast of Managua, Nicaragua. What are those? Farms? Ive never seen farms shaped like this. If they are farms, why the round shape?

A small bit of this place in the south is in hi-res and it does look like farms ... but i cannot understand why the round shape ( a perfect round shape in fact )

They're fields of crops. They're watered by a rotary irrigation system from the centre of the circle. Just to the south of your placemark there's a much higher res image, and you can see in one of them that there's what looks like a vehicle in the centre. I'm guessing it's a water tank with a long arm like a crane which they drive into the centre of each field and rotate the arm to irrigate when it's needed.
