This appears to be the circular base to the AN/FLR-9 'Elephant Cage' at RAF Chicksands in Bedfordshire.

You're right. I was miles away.

I've had a closer look and cross-referenced the location with the OS map.

There's a large circular feature at SU833504 which is described as being a reservoir. That looks to be the baby.

the reservoirs are the bodies of water to the west/south-west.....

I presumed they were just lakes. There's certainly a large circular structure on the OS at that location. It's marked as MOD land though so I don't know how easy it would be to get in and look.

Need someone local which I haven't been for a few years now.
