what on (google) earth does this mean??? obviously a glitch,as word keeps changing every time i go back to it!

With Geographic Features turned on I see a 'W' and a blue square (could be an 'O' I guess).

and when I went back there it was about 30 letters long and all of them were in chinese?!?!?!

Yep, looks like the letters change every time you go there, which is what rayzor810 said in the first place. It's a bit odd, it must be a coding error which randomises the characters or something. I've never turned on the Geographic Features layer before, it's good to get a bit more information from GE, shame it's only US features at the moment.

Anyway back to the original subject,

I conntacted Google Earth and they said

"Thank you for your note. We appreciate you taking the time to contact

and report this problem. We've identified the foreign text in Hawaii
and
we'll investigate this issue further.

The Google Earth Support Team"

So we shall see what happens.

About the WO (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WO) that appears,it's Chinese for "Japan" and a couple other meanings, too
