It is exactly the area I was wanting. It overlays my house and neighborhood. I have GPS tracks I added to GE a while ago that I can use to better align the image but need to learn how to rotate it first. Otherwise, it is most excellent. Thanks,
Dave

To rotate the image just go to the right hand side where it says Places and under there you should find the overlay, Right click on it and it will say Edit...
Click on edit... and you should now see the image in front of you, There should be a little diamond shape just click and hold that to drag the image.

How's it going GEH4EVR,

I was wondering if you get some higher resolution images of the Iowa State University Campus and surrounding areas. The details decent right now, but it'd be interesting to see it a little more detailed.

If you can't do that, I'm interested in seeing a location from my hometown. 43'03'42.74" N 92'18'24.01" W Elevation 1141 ft.

I appreciate any images you can find for me. May I ask though, where would one find these higher resolution overlays? I've searched and searched for my specific locations, but have come up empty handed.

Thanks!

I've been looking to try and do this for myself, but I can't seem to figure it out. I am the leader of an Airsoft team currently in Colorado, we host neighborhood battles, film, and create a realistic atmosphere. We ussually use GE for aerial images of neighborhoods, so we can realisticly plan our battles. However, we've run into a problem with an upcoming battle. The battle is march 23rd, and will take place in Florence, Colorado. I've looked, and cannot find any aerial images of high enough resolution to see anything. Our main base will be set up at the address 808 E. 5th st. Florence, CO, 81226. If you, or anyone could get a high resolution image of that house, and the surrounding neighborhood, I would be very very greatful. The exact cordinates of the house are 38 23 31.42 N, 105 06 22.11 W. I've also added a placemark for convenience. If anyone could please help me out with this, that would be so awesome. Thanks, Thomas.

If I may be so bold...

It's not perfectly aligned, the Roads overlay isn't as accurate as it could be but there's not much else to line it up to.

And go easy on GEH4EVR, not everyone has time to do everything that's asked of them. It's only a hobby after all.

Thanks for that!

I didnt mean to sound horrible about it, but i'd pm'd you and not recieved a reply :(
Then when i spotted recent posts by you and my pm remained unanswered..i guessed you didnt want to do it (which is totally fair enough!) but it takes 2 secs to reply to a pm....even if its a no.

Many thx for taking the time to do it for me...i'll admit that the image isn't as high res as i was expecting, but its 100% better than whats already there...which is a bonus!

Thanks again

Neil
