I have a large database of British prehistoric sites with positions stored as OS grid refs. Is there a relatively straightforward way of converting these to Lat/Long co-ordinates for use in GE? I'm hoping something like an Excel formula might do the trick. I've found websites where you can enter them one at a time but that would be very tedious for several hundred, if not more.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes: Grid InQuest

It's downloadable free from www.gps.gov.uk

It will let you do a whole file-load as a batch and will output in GE's format of DD:MM:SS.dd if you wish.

You need to register, but that's free and does not involve any spam or junkmail.
