This is a discussion thread for the following file:<br><br><b><a href=http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile16027/Huge-White-Spot-in-Utah.htm>Huge White Spot in Utah</a></b><br><br>I was searching around in Great Salt Lake, and I saw this huge white spot next to it. What could htis be? Surely this isn't a cloud.<br><br><img src=http://www.googleearthhacks.com/images/new/080505/109005admin.jpg>

That's easy, anyone who has been out to the "Lake" knows that it's the salt deposits, just a vast field of salt. Ever heard of the Bellmont Salt Flats, where they do top speed tests for vehicles trying to set records. That's all it is, so I'd like to ask the admin to move it from map quirks, to landmarks or something like that ;)

I agree with Brad, its not a map quirk..

Yeah, and I should probably change the name of it to Salt Deposits or something.

Indeed, this is the remnants of a lake bed. Made famous by the Bonneville Salt Flats. Not Bellmont.

So it should be moved to Landmarks with the new title of 'Great Salt Lake Salt Deposits' or something.

HxFxC, your right, my mistake.
