Apologies, I don't know how to save a location mark!
I was looking at the places I visited during the Xmas holidays in Spain and came across Gibraltar. What on (Google) earth is going on there? There's a huge cloud (or smoke?) over the entire peninsula? It used to be military, so could this be just Google Earth trying not to show any military installations?

Welcome to GEH ;)
To post a placemark here, simply go to "file", "save as", and then save it somewhere. On the site, click on the "manage attachments" button under additional options, then "browse", and "upload" ;)
Why don't you try post the placemark for the Rock of Girbralter here.
as for the cloud, I think it is just a sad coincidence :crysmilie

Yep, and a smart one too, it's right over the peak of the mountain ;)

Yeah, that's quite common in Gibraltar, Every morning when I was there, there would be a cloud over the mountain.I think it's supposed to be caused by the air coming of the sea and meeting the land.

Yup, clouds like that are normal. I remember when I was there one July, the whole island was covered for most of the day. Trust me, that cloud's just a little one!!
